2023 Black Women Empowerment Photoshoot - Now Booking!

I'm beyond excited for year 6 of my annual Black Women Empowerment Photoshoot! Every year presents a new theme and new faces. This year, we're bringing in the green backdrop you see below, in addition to 2 standing floral garlands that will be designed and created by Deshara Thomas Bohanna, Owner of Design Fetish (a local Black woman-owned business).
The BWE Photoshoot was created to bring Black women in the Greater Des Moines area together for an afternoon to celebrate, uplift, highlight, and honor one another....celebrating us through imagery - the realness of us in a still moment. This Photoshoot will sell out fast - as it always does! Join us in the studio in Downtown Des Moines. It's an experience - with music, beverages, appetizers, and a good time. You deserve every bit of this experience.
What you see in the image below is the backdrop that will be used for the Black Women Empowerment Photoshoot. Furniture pieces will also be brought in for selection. Check out full details below.
THE DETAILS
Cost: $90 + tax
Date: Saturday, May 20, 2023
Time: 1-5 pm (only 25 spots available)
Location: Ward Creative Studios, 900 Keosauqua Way, #309 (third floor) Des Moines, IA 50309. For accessibility, there are elevators and ramps on each floor of the building
WHAT YOU GET
10 minutes of shooting time
2 high resolution digital images via an online private gallery (with the option of purchasing additional images at $32 per image)
Wine, water (including sparkling), and other beverages, and appetizers in the studio (due to alcohol being in the space, this is a 21+ photoshoot)
A GOODT time with other local Black women
